MORNING CHANGES SIGNAL GROWTH AT CAPE COD BROADCASTING
Hyannis, MA – Gregory D. Bone, General Partner of Cape Cod Broadcasting, announced on-air lineup changes today at two of the four Cape Cod Broadcasting stations.
Cape Country 104 (WKPE at 103.9 FM) welcomes Nick Strassel as its new morning host. Bone said “You might call it a ‘welcome back’ of sorts, as Nick worked with WKPE under its previous owner for a number of years in the 90s and early 2000’s. We’re thrilled to have him here, and look forward to many successes together.”
Strassel replaces Shailene Jackson as morning host on Cape Country 104, with Jackson moving to mornings on Cape Cod Broadcasting sister station 99.9 WQRC. “Talk about homegrown talent!” said Bone. “Shailene originally joined us as an intern. To see her years of dedication and hard work earn her the vital position of morning host on WQRC, one of the largest and most well-known radio stations on Cape Cod, is truly gratifying and exciting.”
Jackson replaces 7 year WQRC veteran Cheryl Park, who will be remaining with Cape Cod Broadcasting, and ultimately taking on new and different responsibilities for the company to be announced soon.
Cape Cod Broadcasting owns and operates WQRC 99.9 FM, WOCN 104.7 FM, WKPE 103.9 FM, WFCC 107.5 FM, CapeCod.Com and The World Classical Network.
