“We are excited to add Cat to our team,” said Beverly Tilden, General Manager of CCB. “Cat is a multi-talented individual and with our plans to expand CCB marketing and events, she brings additional Cape based experience and resources to our group.”

Cat will also bring her on-air program “The Cheap Seats” to Ocean 104.7 on Sunday nights at 8pm. The Cheap Seats formerly heard on Cool102, celebrates local musicians and their music, a program beloved on Cape Cod. The Cheap Seats will begin airing on Ocean on May 4th. She will also host a regular program on Ocean 104.7 “Crafted for the Cape,” the CCB station that is focused on singer songwriters from the 70s, 80s and the current artist that were inspired by them. “Cat brings another local voice to our line-up,” acknowledged Jerry McKenna, CCB Program Director, “and her deep knowledge of the format artists and their music will add dimension to this unique format.”

Cat won her first broadcasting award for The Cheap Seats in 1997 from the Massachusetts
Broadcasters Association. In 2012 she won awards for her dedication to independent music from Limelight Magazine as well as The New England Music Awards. In 2013 Cat was named Cape Cod’s Favorite Radio Personality by Cape Cod Magazine.

Most recently, Cat has been marketing manager for Cape Cod Harley-Davidson. She was also promotion manager and on-air for Qantum, and music director and on-air at WKPE when it was owned by Charles River Broadcasting, both in the early 2000s. Cat leads an exciting life when she’s off the airwaves. She rides a Harley and has also competed in several Cape demolition derbies. She won the championship round at the Barnstable County Fair in 2009, the only female driver to win this event on the Cape. She is also active in local theatre.

Cape Cod Broadcasting is the Cape’s locally owned media group that includes four radio stations Ocean 104.7; 99-9 The Q, WQRC; Cape Country 104 and WFCC Classical 107.5 and six websites including CapeCod.com.
